Justin Schmidt is the Chief Business Officer of EIRIS. He is responsible for the development and execution of the merger and acquisition strategy. Justin has 25 years of experience in international business development strategy, mergers & acquisitions, operations leadership, revenue generation, integrated solutions as well as product innovation, partnerships and strategic alliances. As an Electrical Engineer with significant product and go to market software experience who over his career has particularly focused on solutions for energy utilities, industrial and civil infrastructure as well as government technology, Justin brings a unique set of experiences to his responsibilities. Justin recently held the position of Vice President of Corporate Portfolio Development for Bentley Systems, completing 25 acquisitions (over $2B in deal value), including Bentley’s two largest deals of Seequent and Power Line Systems. During his tenure, Bentley’s revenue increased from ~$800M in 2020 to ~$1.25B in 2024, most of which was contributed to from those acquisitions. Previously, Justin was Vice President of Sales & Business Development for Bentley Systems, Infrastructure IoT business and also served as a Board Director for Worldsensing (a Bentley invested company). He was also Vice President of Sales & Business Development for ETAP (now a part of Schneider Electric). As Executive Manager for Hexagon he developed the strategic vision for Smart Water Infrastructure and also Smart Cities (Public Safety & Utilities focused) which he grew from conceptual planning to over $80M in revenue within 2 years and lastly with Intergraph (acquired by Hexagon), he held positions of General Manager for Greater China, Global Business Development Manager, and lead various business units and product lines across Asia Pacific, Africa & Middle East. Justin is based in Southern California. He is a martial artist, surfer, yogi and musician.
