ABOUT JUSTIN PERERA
I am a postgraduate Motorsport Engineering student at Oxford Brookes University with proven professional experience in mechanical design and manufacturing. My key achievements include leading the transition from an ICE to an EV powertrain for the University of Huddersfield Formula Student team and now being part of OBR. I have substantial experience in CAD (SolidWorks) for designing mechanical systems, as well as working with additive manufacturing techniques and FDM printers. I’ve collaborated with industry leaders like David Brown Santasalo to design a compound epicyclic gear system using KISSsoft, ensuring performance under maximum loads. As an IMechE regional competition winner and an employer-sponsored student, I’m eager to further my career in engineering, contribute innovative solutions, and continue to refine my skills in the industry. My hands-on approach and passion for engineering make me determined to thrive in the automotive industry.
