About Justin Pendleton
I’m a litigation associate with extensive experience representing multinational corporations in complex white collar and cross-border matters. At Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, I represent multinational corporations in cross-border litigation, internal investigations, and regulatory compliance involving the DOJ, SEC, and international enforcement agencies. My practice spans a broad range of industries, including aerospace, telecommunications, energy, and automotive. I’ve developed and implemented investigative strategies, drafted critical legal documents, and managed cross-functional teams across major litigation and e-discovery platforms. From navigating FCPA and Sarbanes-Oxley violations to advising on securities and export control matters, I provide practical, high-level counsel on sensitive corporate issues. In addition to my private sector work, I’ve maintained a strong pro bono practice, advocating before federal and administrative courts and authoring substantive legal briefs, motions, and complaints. My early legal training included immigration law work in South Africa, where I supported asylum seekers and challenged systemic discrimination through legal advocacy. I hold a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where I served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Law and Social Change, along with an M.S.Ed. in Education Policy. My multidisciplinary background—including multiple international graduate degrees—enriches my legal perspective and enhances my ability to navigate the global dimensions of today’s legal challenges. Let’s connect if you’re interested in legal innovation, international law, or tackling complex disputes with a forward-thinking approach.
