About Justin M. Chan
Criminal defense attorney with prior experience in civil litigation, personal injury law, workers\' compensation, and wills/probate. Prior to my admission onto the Connecticut State Bar, I worked as a National Security Consultant and clerked for several Connecticut-based firms.I now work full-time as a public defender in Waterbury Superior Court (G.A.#4) where everyday I represent indigent clients facing allegations of criminal conduct. I take extreme pride in being part of a Division, and specifically a team in Waterbury, that values equality, fairness, and rehabilitation.Outside of the law, I am a passionate artist and student of history. I perform, write, and record music professionally, as often as time permits me to. I also remain dedicated to serving my community whether that’s through my political activism, volunteering, or coaching youth sports.
