As a fund accounting and operations associate, I assist my Alternative Investments team with daily activities while learning about different products and services my business line offers clients. I also understand the necessary skills to succeed in my role and career at U.S. Bank. Some of my responsibilities include- Complete and release annual audit statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP Standards - Lead a transition plan for standardization of expense memos to reduce fraud risk- Create purchase memos to fund deals for client expenses as requested - Reconciliation of funds for monthly and quarterly reporting purposes - Complete and produce monthly and quarterly reports and assist the team with month-end and quarter-end pricing updates and Net Asset Value valuation - Collaborate directly with clients to determine pricing updates, reconciliation needs, deadlines for projects and more - Collaborate directly with departments outside of alternative investments to ensure client needs are satisfied I use Geneva Portfolio Accounting and Microsoft Excel daily to conduct my job duties. I have learned to use Excel for journal entries, bookkeeping, cash reconciliation, and data analysis. I have learned to use Geneva for the month/quarter ending process, batch reporting, cash reconciliation, and more. Over my time at U.S. bank I have had the opportunity to serve my community in the form of banking, volunteer at local community service events, partake in cultural activities, gained useful technical and professional skills such as computer software, Microsoft Excel among others.
