I am a Principal in the Life Sciences practice who brings rigor, creativity, clear communication, and problem-solving to my teams. I have experience in legal matters involving intellectual property, antitrust, and other commercial disputes with a focus on the Life Sciences. Combining my expertise in economics with an understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, I assist clients with their evolving challenges and in developing rigorous and creative analyses to address their questions. Dedicated to active mentorship, I work closely with my teams and build collaborative relationships with each client to identify critical issues and questions, to foster creativity, to integrate the best ideas efficiently, and to reliably meet deadlines and project goals. Always up for a challenge, I enjoy managing and adapting to new challenges and issues as projects unfold.I have worked on matters involving a range of products, including biologics, small-molecule drugs, and medical devices. Grounding economic analyses with business and regulatory considerations underlying drug and medical device development, I enjoy tackling emerging issues in the industry and working with clients to anticipate future questions. For nearly a decade, I have been advising clients on disputes regarding efforts in drug development (license disputes and breach of contract), antitrust matters (market definition and damages in reverse-payment settlements, and product tying), intellectual property disputes (evaluation of commercial success, reasonable royalty, and lost profit analyses), pricing (price fixing and welfare analyses), and product labeling matters (including both consumer and pharmaceutical product claims).I have a BA and PhD in economics from Harvard University. My doctoral research focused on industrial organization and the economic and strategic evaluation of firm behavior and contracting. My work has been published in the American Economic Review and the Journal of Industrial Economics. Originally from the greater Boston area, I am an avid Celtics and NBA fan. My family and I live in Falls Church, Virginia.
