I have an extensive hands on technical background in data operations & infrastructure, data modeling, cost effective scaling approaches, data warehouse strategy and implementation, and low latency data access design. I also lead and manage technology groups around datalake [including OTF], machine learning, computer vision, generative AI, foundation model, search & discovery [text and embedding based], and content transcoding functions. I’ve successfully executed large on-premise to cloud data migrations, as well as technology re-platforms to accelerate time to market and streamline cost in a cloud environment.Leadership experience in a multi-tenant SaaS environment, leveraging RBAC, auto scaling, and consumption based features delivered via both web and API.My management experience and appetite for deeply understanding business goals has enabled me to apply my technical background for how business value is delivered with a focus on AB testing and continuous iteration. As a leadership principal I believe that context, both tactically and strategically, is a foundational pillar to enable teams to operate with autonomy, direction and purpose. It’s critical that it’s understood what the near term horizon items are and the strategy so they can balance how to provide customer value with those constraints in mind [including cost considerations, time to market, etc].Strategically, I’m extensively involved in the considerations of how the application of AI can impact a business. This relates to the evolving legal considerations [including and not limited to the differences between open source code, data, and IP], and changing law as it relates to geography.
