Direct all aspects of non-profit organization with 40 employees, 500 volunteers, and donors. Manage annual budget of over $4.5 million and lead senior management team. Accountable for strategic planning, financial management, government and corporate relations, management leadership and policy making with Board of Directors. Develop growth strategies for multiple revenue streams, including government contracts, grant funding, retail, and tenant lease programs. Serve as public spokesperson for organization; deliver presentations to national groups, government, corporations, and foundations and coordinate marketing efforts. Significant Accomplishments: Founded and direct environmental non profit that creates innovative responses to New York City’s environmental issues. Secured funding of launch of program. Formulated all policy and organizational systems. Developed nationally recognized community composting effort. Worked with city agencies to secure land and funding for development of two mid-scale composting sites that compost over 2 million lbs for the city each year and assist 300 local community groups in greening efforts. Piloted composting technology eventually selected by City for use in other facilities. Overhauled operation of building material reuse center increasing revenue by 25%. Secured ongoing donations of materials from corporate donors. Selected and implemented cloud based retail system. Established outreach program for NYC’s organics collection program which directly interact with over New York City residents annually. Implemented policies, procedures, employee retention efforts and insured organizational compliance. Direct communications from branding, logo-creation, website, newsletter, UX/UI, and cross-platform marketing.
