ABOUT JUSTIN FERSTEIN
As a passionate storyteller and lifelong sports fan, I’m excited to begin my journey at Mizzou’s School of Journalism—one of the top programs in the country. In high school, I gained hands-on experience in sports media by broadcasting football, baseball, basketball, soccer, and field hockey games. I also wrote for our student publication, where I eventually served as Sports Editor, overseeing coverage and developing content that connected with our audience.My ultimate goal is to pursue a career that merges my deep-rooted passion for journalism, my commitment to leadership, and my dedication to building strong communities. I strive to amplify underrepresented voices, uncover meaningful stories that inspire and inform, and create content that not only captures the excitement of sports but also highlights the human experiences behind them. Whether on the field, or in the newsroom, I aim to use storytelling as a powerful tool to connect people, spark dialogue, and make a lasting impact.
