ABOUT JUSTIN FERNANDEZ

With over two years of experience in education and athletic coaching, I am dedicated to developing student success both on and off the field.As the Head Frosh/Soph Football Coach at South Torrance High School, I’ve led the program through three strong seasons (7–3, 6–4, and 4–5 with one game remaining), serving as the offensive play-caller and play designer. My approach focuses on fundamentals, football IQ, and character development—preparing players to excel at the varsity level and beyond.At Jordan High School, I serve as the Varsity Softball Head Coach, where I helped rejuvenate the program and guided the Bulldogs to their first playoff victory since at least 2006. I emphasize accountability, teamwork, and mental toughness while fostering a positive, competitive culture that has reignited excitement and participation across campus.In addition to coaching, I teach Filmmaking 1A/B and advise Bulldog TV, our school’s student news and media production program. Through these classes, I mentor students in storytelling, video production, and broadcast journalism—equipping them with creative, technical, and leadership skills that translate beyond the classroom.Across both athletics and academics, my mission is to empower students to grow as leaders, thinkers, and teammates. Whether on the field or behind the camera, I strive to build environments where effort, creativity, and collaboration drive success.
