ABOUT JUSTIN FARRINGTON SMITH

A highly driven and focused individual, I have a proven track record of maximising business potential. My achievements span a variety of different wholesale and retail sectors, including PLC, VC and co-operative entities, in heavily regulated industries. I have also mentored many manufacturing businesses adding real value throughout. A strong understanding of the customer has enabled me to deliver consistent results year in year out, resulting in considerable increases in shareholder value. A people person with strong communication skills, I capitalise on the relationships that I build with stakeholders and develop highly motivated teams. I encourage my team to proactively think outside the box for new opportunities. An agent of change, I have turned around the performance of Cargostores, the QD Stores Group and Halls Garden Products and have been instrumental in the integration of major business mergers: Presto and Safeway, Iceland and Booker, and Focus with Great Mills and Smith Do It All. With Imajin I re-structured a multi-million pound loss to profit.Since \"retiring \" from exec roles I\'ve held several non exec / chair roles leading to successful exits for shareholders.
