As Director of Community Conservation, I promote conservation and responsible stewardship of our natural resources and help communities across the James River basin realize the benefits of a healthy James River.Manage capital projects including outdoor recreation, urban stormwater management, and green infrastructure projects.Manage the James River Association\'s River Hero Homes program in collaboration with the organization\'s communications team.Serve on the James River Association\'s advocacy team and advocate for clean water and the creation of riverfront parks and public spaces. Contribute to planning efforts throughout the James River watershed including the Virginia Outdoors Plan, Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail, James River Heritage Trail, Richmond Riverfront Plan, James River Park System Master Plan and Upper James River Water Trail.Manage the James River Association’s conservation easements and participate in the Chesapeake Conservation Partnership.Contribute to the James River Association’s State of the James report by compiling data for indicators.Manage grants in coordination with the James River Association’s Program Director and Grants Manager.Create informational resources, such as maps and brochures, to promote outdoor recreation on the James River and its tributaries.Currently serving on the James River Advisory Council and Historic Falls of the James Scenic River Advisory Committee.
