ABOUT JURADO KRISTEL

As a Policy Officer within the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) of the European Commission, I am currently working on maritime transport and maritime safety policies, with a particular emphasis on coordinating with the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).With a strong background in the maritime sector, my previous roles at the European Climate, Infrastructure, and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE) have provided me with an in-depth understanding of European institutions and the decision-making process. I have developed expertise in internal rules and procedures, as well as the management and implementation of European funds. My involvement in implementing the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) also extends to international agreements.Proactive and motivated, I am always ready to take on new challenges. Working on a diverse range of topics and tasks, I demonstrate flexibility, perseverance, and versatility. With a strong team spirit, I strive to achieve positive outcomes in all collaborations.My solid education includes a dual degree in conference translation/interpretation and European affairs. Additionally, I hold an MSc in Maritime Sciences, with a specific focus on maritime transport and port management.
