Junze Liu is an Applied Scientist at Amazon, where he focuses on leveraging large language models (LLMs) to improve customer experiences and support innovative solutions across Amazon. He received his Ph.D. in computer science at the University of California Irvine, supervised by Professor Pierre Baldi. His research interests span LLMs, computer vision, deep learning, causality, and their applications. Highlighted projects include work on generative models for calorimeter simulation, deep learning for neutrino reconstruction, computational methods for bioimaging and biomedical informatics, robust general model leveraging causal discovery, and integration of heterogeneous temporal graph and LLMs. Prior to his Ph.D, he earned a Master degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, collaborating with Professors Ruoyu Sun and Benjamin Hooberman.
