ABOUT CINDY CHEN
I am a quadrilingual PR practitioner with a double major focusing on Sport and Recreation Management at Temple University. At the age of fifteen, I moved alone from Northwest China to the United States. A small catholic school on high atop a hill in Akron, OH has completely changed my life in the best way possible — the journey has inspired me towards a path in the sports business/media industry. My life would not have been the same without basketball and lacrosse. Being a 6’2” international student makes me very different from others. I used to struggle a lot with it. Talking to my mentor makes me realize that it is okay to be a rose with thorns. Just like what she said to me — why try to fit in when I am born to stand out?
