Over 15 years international experiences in product development, Assembly process design, Physical Metallurgy, Thermal-mechanical processing, as well as Surface Pretreatment/Passivation of metals especially Aluminum Alloys. Extensive experience in full life cycle of high volume automotive program launches including CAPEX planning, Project management, process/fixture design and optimization, production equipment launch, materials qualification, as well as quality kaizen in production lines. Have successfully developed very competitive global supplier base for MIG welding assembly, adhesive bonding, friction stir welding, as well as machining equipment for large lightweight structures including battery trays and cross car beams etc for electric vehicles. Have specified out as the lead process engineer 2 aluminum extrusion press lines. Expertise & hands on experience in various Welding/Joining Techniques including arc welding (MIG), Laser welding, Resistance spot welding, Adhesive bonding, & Friction stir welding, Self-Pierce Riveting (SPR) and Flow Drill Screws, Al Casting, Stamping, Heat treatment, Failure Analysis, Corrosion testing and Non-destructive inspection. Have initiated, executed and managed various industrial & research projects, and prepared reports and documentations for engineering records and projects. Have taught for 3+ years welding courses for industry engineers and managers. Have published up to now more than 20 journal papers & conference presentations on welding & metallurgy of various metals. Able to speak fluently and to write in English, French and Chinese. Very familiar with APQP processes including PFMEA, PPAP and Automotive industry standards such as Major OEMs specs, ASTM, ISO, AWS standards. Very good team player and possess strong interpersonal skills.
