June Haygood is a health science education teacher and highly skilled in designing and maintaining a curriculum centered on the learners for middle school students in Georgia. They are also responsible for establishing the first HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) chapter in their current facility and serve as the chapter advisor. Mrs. Haygood aims to achieve total student development and assess and develop student leadership and technical skills based on the HOSA Competitive Events Program Guidelines by integrating the HOSA chapter program into the instructional program. The chapter has been recognized for placing at various leadership conferences. Mrs. Haygood\'s skills include leadership development, pharmacy practice, management, healthcare, and health education.Achievements- June started the health care science department in the Fulton County District and led the academics for five years- As a teacher, Mrs. Haygood\'s students have placed in the top 10 in the state in healthcare competitions and went on to compete at the national level- Additionally, June Haygood has successfully led a dialogue with the Surgeon General on ways to combat the national opioid epidemic, which led her to develop the STOP OD app.
