ABOUT JUNE KIM

I am a real estate development and architecture professional with experience guiding complex projects from early concept through construction. My work sits at the intersection of design, development strategy, and execution, helping development teams translate vision into projects that are financially viable, buildable, and marketable.After serving as Director of Architecture at 13th Floor Investments, where I oversaw design and development coordination across multiple large-scale residential and mixed-use projects, I now work as an independent real estate development consultant.I partner with developers who do not maintain an in-house design lead but still need experienced oversight and guidance throughout the development process.My role often functions as an owner’s design representative, ensuring that architects, consultants, contractors, and development teams remain aligned with the project’s financial, operational, and market objectives.I advise development teams from pre-development through construction, helping navigate key decisions that shape a project’s success (from site strategy and consultant team assembly to design oversight, approvals, budgeting coordination, and construction execution)Areas I support include:• Pre-development strategy and site feasibility• Architect and consultant team selection and management• Design oversight from concept through construction documents• Entitlements and municipal approvals• Design optimization and value engineering• Coordination between development, design, and construction teams• Owner representation during constructionHaving worked both inside a development firm and alongside architecture teams, I bring a developer’s perspective to design and a designer’s understanding to development helping teams make informed decisions that strengthen both project quality and execution.
