My specialty is drilling optimization and engineering in upstream sectors of the oil and gas industry, with expertise in BHA design, well planning, and drill bit design. I have worked in the Western Canadian Sedimentary basin, Gulf of Mexico, Eastern Canada and South China sea. With 10+ years of oil and gas experience, I started as a MWD/LWD and worked my way up to a Drilling Engineer role with SLB by providing suggestions and solutions on the rig site to operators and senior management. I excel at engaging with field and client personnel, work well under pressure meeting critical deadlines, plan complex well trajectories, hydraulics, torque and drag calculations. SPECIALTIES Took downhole measurements for the longest well drilled in Canada off the coast of Newfoundland. Planned 24 wells from 8 slots in the South China sea. High anti collision risk, BHA design, Hydraulic, torque and drag, and Vibration analysis. DELIVERED RESULTS As an application engineer, I designed a new drill bit for a major operator resulting in reducing bit balling occurrences and getting to total depth with one bit instead of two. Increased company revenue by obtaining work from thoroughly understanding client operations and suggesting improvements.
