As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Northern Illinois University, I teach four sections total. Two sections of BIOS 105 (General Biology Lab), where I facilitate hands-on experiments and guide undergraduate students through foundational topics such as cell biology, enzymatic activity, genetics, and ecology. I promote critical thinking through interactive instruction, support students in applying the scientific method, and assess their learning through lab reports and quizzes. In addition to this, I support two sections of the Functional Human Anatomy lab, where I assist the lead instructor by answering student questions, reinforcing anatomical concepts, and ensuring smooth lab operations. Together, these roles allow me to deepen my understanding of biological sciences while developing my skills in mentorship, communication, and academic support.
