As Senior Project Manager for the City of Chestermere, I am responsible for leading the delivery of major municipal capital infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring successful execution within approved scope, schedule, and budget. I manage complex projects across infrastructure types including roads, intersections, stormwater systems, bridge upgrades, and civic facilities, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with municipal standards and community expectations.I develop and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and stage-gate documentation in accordance with PMO governance frameworks and policies. I oversee consultant performance, review engineering deliverables, manage RFP and procurement processes, and administer contracts in compliance with provincial procurement requirements. I coordinate regulatory approvals with agencies including Alberta Environment and Alberta Transportation, ensuring projects meet applicable codes, standards, and environmental requirements.I monitor project financial performance by tracking expenditures against approved budgets, preparing variance reports, processing invoices, and coordinating budget adjustments with Finance. I present project status updates, business cases, and recommendations to senior leadership and City Council, and serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders including internal departments, utility providers, and external agencies.I contribute to the development and continuous improvement of PMO policies, procedures, and templates, support portfolio-level reporting, and provide mentorship and technical guidance to Project Coordinators throughout project delivery.
