About Jun Yuan

I believe in co-design of query engine and storage engine. I architect high-performance storage engine and query engine that deliver on their theoretical promises—building systems where measured performance consistently validates rigorous analysis. With over a decade in storage spanning both industry and academia, my work on TokuDB and BetrFS has earned multiple Best Paper awards and nominations at USENIX FAST (20••••19). I thrive on transforming complex theoretical insights into real-world solutions that actually work at scale. Always hunting for the next breakthrough, I actively seek opportunities to push the boundaries of storage engines, database internals and distributed systems.
