DF/HCC Is a Research Consortium that provides shared resources and a collaborative environment for over 1,100 cancer researchers at 7 Harvard institutions. the Director of Operations, I support the leadership of the Center and the Programs for decision making and execution. I assist the program portfolio management and the development of new programs and shared resources. I also support programs to identify strategies for addressing critiques from NCI and EAB. • I am responsible for planning, operationalizing, overseeing, coordinating, monitoring, analyzing and evaluating the DFHCC Shared Resources. • I oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of information on the Cancer Center to senior leadership, program leaders, and NCI, among others on such metrics as funding, membership, publications, and clinical trials accrual• I have primary budgetary responsibility for the P30 CCSG, awarded by NCI, and for DF/HCC discretionary funds. Responsible for oversight of all sub-awards to consortium members.• I support DF/HCCs effort to operate as a single organizational entity focused on a common effort, which involves working collaboratively with 7 member institutions plus UMass Boston, each having unique missions, priorities, and administrative systems. I work collaboratively with many DFCI departments (e.g. Grants and Contracts, General Counsel, Innovation Office, Office of Human Subjects Research, Office of Data Quality, and all DFCI academic departments) to integrate DF/HCCs operations and comply with institutional and federal policy and procedures. I also serve as liaison to member institutions, establishing and maintaining strong and effective relationships and communications with faculty and institutional and departmental administrators.
