ABOUT JUMANA S.
Design-led leader in Space Strategy, Workplace Planning & Data-driven Estate ManagementI’m Head of Space at University College London, leading the strategic space planning and optimisation of our estate to enable world-class teaching, research, and collaboration. With a background in Interior and Workplace Design, I bring a blend of creativity and strategic thinking to how we shape the university’s built environment. My focus is on creating spaces that not only function effectively but inspire the people who use them. Spaces that foster connection, innovation, and wellbeing. My role bridges the worlds of design, operations, and data. I oversee how we plan, manage, and validate space information through systems such as Planon (IWMS), making sure accuracy that underpins smarter decision making, compliance, and long term strategic planning. Before joining UCL, I designed and delivered workplace and interior projects internationally, combining creative vision with hands-on project delivery. Skilled in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and client engagement, I take a solutions-focused approach and enjoy working collaboratively to bring ideas to life.A graduate of the University of Westminster’s School of Architecture (RIBA certified), I’ve been recognised as an FX Award Winner (2017) and named one of Mix Interiors’ Inspiring Future Leaders (30 Under 30, 2018). I also hold a Chartered Diploma in Leadership and Management (Level 5) from Imperial College London, awarded with Distinction, which strengthened my approach to leadership and organisational performance.I believe that great spaces are more than functional; they’re catalysts for creativity, community, and growth. Always curious, always evolving.
