ABOUT JUMA VAFAI
Juma is a dedicated engineer, holding a first-class Honours degree in Master of Engineering (MEng) with a specialisation in Civil and Structural Engineering. He is a Principal Engineer at National Highways, supporting the development, design and delivery of highway asset management schemes. With a diverse background in multidisciplinary infrastructure projects across the UK, Juma possesses in-depth knowledge of highways design, adhering to the standards set by the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and the Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW). What drives Juma is the chance to make a real difference. He is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in collaborative team environments, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. As a National Highways Carbon Champion, Juma is particularly passionate about sustainable construction and actively seeks ways to improve environmental practices within the industry.In addition to his professional pursuits, Juma is an active member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
