Michael has 20+ years of experience in software technology, most recently leading product direction of RedPrairie and was CTO of Escalate Retail and Ecometry. Over a 10 year period, Ecometry as well as Escalate Retail grew exponentially through the acquisition of Blue Martini Software, ADS Retail, GERS, and RedPrairie as well as having achieved substantial organic growth through that period. Previously, Michael was a senior technology manager with Buildscape in Research Triangle Park, NC, later acquired by Dow Chemical, where it produced on demand eCommerce and demand chain software for retailers, manufacturers and distributors. Earlier, He served as Chief Technology Officer of Visual Fire, a software development company focused on providing a web and interactive tv ecommerce platform for high-volume transactional sales in the entertainment and internet market for customers such as Disney, Sony, and Terra Lycos. Previously, Michael lead internet development and services for IKON Technology Services, a fortune 500 technology services provider. Prior to this, he was an entrepreneur and built a successful software company writing and selling several social community software applications such as games, chat, and account management in the online social communications and information space.Michael served as a member of the Board of Directors at the National Retail Federation, Association of Retail Technology Standards (NRF ARTS) and has been a member of various work teams for SOA for Retail, Mobile Blueprint, and served as the board sponsor for Digital Receipts Standard v.2.
