The course provides a general introduction to lobbying and the development and implementation of advocacy strategies. This class was featured in “Lobbying PMGT 230.10”, The Washington Post, by Christopher Lee (March 29, 2006); and in “Course Offers an Insider’s View on the Art of Lobbying”, The Chronicle of Higher Education, by Xiao-Bo Yuan (August 8, 2006). Also teach an undergraduate course entitled “Electoral and Legislative Processes”. The purpose of this course is to look at the process of democratic representation focusing on the development and practice of electoral campaigning and legislative process and lobbying. The class offers an analysis of how individuals, parties, and interest groups utilize democratic processes to produce practical results in a diverse and fragmented society. Also taught a graduate course entitled “Fundamentals of Political Management”. Member of the Admissions Committee for GSPM. Previously taught “Advanced Lobbying Strategy” course.
