Spaghetti dinners provide free meals to anyone who attends and a space where people from all walks of life can congregate in a comfortable setting, speak honestly with one another, identify shared values, and ultimately lay the groundwork for community-driven political power to meet this critical moment. The Dinners reflect a simple belief – most Americans have far more in common with one another than not. As an Intern and organizer with the Spaghetti dinner movement, I work with a team to help formulate the optimal event agenda, work to generate a set of questions and a dinner structure. I also help to promote, identify, and contact partner organizations, and plan general logistics for each dinner.
