I am an engineering and business professional, entrepreneur, corporate talent scout, youth mentor, and community service activist. I continuously work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all the organizations I join. I have worked at the plant, divisional, and corporate headquarters level. Early in my career, I earned a Fellowship award based on notable contributions to the company. During my 35+ years of business and industrial experience, I have made significant contributions in key functional areas: Manufacturing Operations/ Engineering, Product Development, Product Strategy/Complexity Optimization, and R&D. I have completed notable work on common methods/systems regarding Mfg. systems in plants globally, Connected Vehicle business strategies, and vehicle component complexity reduction/reuse. I currently hold the position of Manager within the GM Advanced Vehicle Development organization. I lead strategic initiatives focused on the development of product component forward strategies which maximize customer value and company profitability.I am a native Detroiter and graduate of Cass Technical High School. I have a BS in Industrial Engineering / Operations Research from Wayne State University (WSU), a MS in Systems Engineering from U-M Dearborn, and a MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in Finance and Business Strategy. I was awarded the Distinguished Volunteer Award in 2020 on National Philanthropy Day by Wayne State University. I currently serve as a member of the Wayne State College of Engineering Alumni Council and the Univ. of MI-Dearborn College of Engineering Board of Visitors.Over the many years since attaining my bachelor’s degree, I continue to help and serve others. I contribute significant personal time toward giving back to the Metro Detroit community through many activities such as youth athletics coaching, Junior Achievement course instruction to K-12 students, DAPCEP (Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program) curricula support, charitable fundraising for underprivileged youth along with various other philanthropic activities. I continue to provide mentoring through formal and informal programs within my company and the community.As an entrepreneur, I have assisted in/or led the start-up of several business ventures related to computer/information technology services, vehicle detailing services, and investing (both real estate and stock market). In terms of hobbies, I am an avid traveler, golfer, and stock market investor.
