Planning and oversight of inventory control, logistics/warehouse, ensuring that goods are received and moved quickly, appropriately, safely, and timely.Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring workplace safety and security procedures and protocols.Oversees the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements, and enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions.Utilization of available warehouse space to accommodate incoming shipments.Responsible for forecasting and planning for all warehouse sites and actively tracking, assessing and improve logistics.Able to analyze data to help manage inventory demand.Perform routine audits of all areas, create and review metrics for functional areas.Keeps senior management informed of the status of multiple projects and deadlines, and regularly communicates resource needs and requirements.Identify key project issues and risks and create and implement satisfactory solutions.Plan the arrangement of products within the warehouse and organize special requirements for certain stock, such as chilled goods or fragile products.Negotiates, directs, and interfaces with outside vendors to maintain adequate daily administrative and facility operations, including building maintenance, fleet trucks, warehouse forklifts, furniture and cubicle components, security system, janitorial service, courier service, and fire and safety supplies.Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues.Direct reports include 1 warehouse manager/ 1 supervisor/ 1 Whse clerk/3 leads/ 15 drivers and 15 warehouse team members on a 2nd shift operation.Hires, trains, and supervises logistics staff.Responsible for staff development and training.Promotes teamwork and supports a healthy, professional environment.Managing inventory with approximately 5,500 SKU\'s.
