I bring over 18 years of experience in charity leadership and more recently research management, with a focus on impact, strategy, and innovation. My career spans higher education, the charity sector, and programme development, where I have successfully led initiatives that raise substantial funds (£23m) enhance public understanding of social issues, and improve outcomes for young people. As Research Manager at the University of Sussex, I work across the Science and Engineering Schools to deliver REF 2029 strategies, with a particular focus on research impact. I support teams in developing and showcasing their research, ensuring compliance, and fostering collaborations that enhance the university’s reputation. I also support public engagement efforts, including major events like the Sussex Universe, to bring cutting-edge research to wider audiences.Alongside this, I provide strategic leadership for a national mental health charity in rugby, ensuring strong governance, financial sustainability, and impactful programme delivery.
