About Juliet M. Beverly
Juliet M. Beverly is the senior editor for BrainFacts.org, published by the Society for Neuroscience in Washington, D.C. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in print journalism from Howard University, she worked at the Embassy of Austria in the Office of Science & Technology as an assistant editor for the online magazine Bridges on transatlantic science, technology, and innovation policy. Since then, curiosity has driven her career in science storytelling for all humankind. Juliet is part of the 2020 cohort of Poynter and The Washington Post Leadership Academy for Diversity in Digital Media and a 2021 recipient of the Richard S. Holden Diversity Fellowship, a collaboration of the Society for Editing (ACES) and the Dow Jones News Fund. She is also a mentor and multimedia section lead for the Urban Journalism Workshop, a free, 8-week boot camp for high school students hosted by the D.C. chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.
