Lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of high-value and high-impact agreements—including commercial leases, construction, event, sponsorship, technology, and consulting contracts, and procurement offerings—that advance BNYDC’s mission of equitable economic development.• Oversee compliance with corporate policies, federal, state, and local regulations, and contractual requirements, including tenant- and vendor-facing obligations.• Advise executives, internal departments, and operational teams on legal risk across a range of areas including land use, procurement, insurance, licensing, and industry-specific compliance (e.g, cannabis, manufacturing).• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and translate them into practical internal policy updates, process changes, and staff guidance.• Lead the coordination of Board and committee meetings, including preparation of materials and ensuring compliance with governance and transparency requirements.• Collaborate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders on litigation and administrative matters, providing strategic support and document review.• Review and analyze third-party and corporate insurance policies, endorsements, and certificates to ensure adequate coverage for BNYDC and its subsidiaries.• Support internal risk assessments and regulatory responses by preparing compliance documentation, disclosures, and reports required by oversight agencies.
