   The Prevention Research Center of PIRE (Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation) is a non-profit public health research center dedicated to environmental approaches to community alcohol, tobacco, and other drug problems, as well as behavioral health intervention research and prevention science more broadly. My work on active research projects involves conceptualizing projects, developing grant proposals, securing funding, hiring and supervising research staff, project management, and developing reports and publications based on our research. I work in partnership with community and Tribal organizations, and with scientists across the social and health sciences. I serve as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on studies funded by grants and contracts from the National Institutes of Health, University of California Office of the Presidents Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program and California Breast Cancer Research Program, and the California Department of Public Health Office of Health Equity.
