The DARWIN200 project is developing young conservationists as they gain practical experience studying conservation subjects. These leaders are developing the skills and abilities to change the world of tomorrow, taking this experience into their future conservation careers. The DARWIN200 Leaders have been selected due to their lifetime passion for nature conservation and their efforts, so far, to protect and restore our beautiful planet. Their placement project involves studying an animal or plant that Charles Darwin studied in the port they visit. It can also involve studying a threatened habitat, or potential effects of re-establishing indigenous people’s connection with its original environment. These topics will be selected from the amazing conservation projects Darwin200 have partnered with in each port, and each leader will be guided by an experienced local conservation organisation and world class international conservationist. OBJECTIVE 1 Exploring changes since Charles Darwin’s visit: Look into what has happened to the selected animal or plant over the last two centuries, the factors behind the change identified, and how significant the change has been. OBJECTIVE 2 Current conservation work to safeguard: Exploring how effective this work is for the selected animal or plant, and if it is sufficient for the future. What are the projected trends? OBJECTIVE 3 What more could be done? Developing new ideas and strategies for the implementation of future conservation efforts to better protect selected animal or plant. The ultimate goal of DARWIN200 is to create a living legacy of exceptional Darwin leaders to drive environmental efforts over their life-long careers. Creating the environmental decision-makers of tomorrow and the catalysts to the future of planet Earth.

I have long been passionate about the study of biodiversity and animal behaviour, having participated in various biodiversity inventories and ecosystem management projects within associations where I was a volunteer, I have developed a particular taste for field work Working on projects that make humane sense to me makes me feel alive. I have an insatiable thirst for action, renewal and learning In the category of passionates, I think there are two types of people: the \"experts\" who study a subject in depth and the \"dreamers\" who want to touch everything, to have a wider field of perspectives although less specialised. I belong to the second category, which is why I experiment in many different fields (theatre, programming, international solidarity, naturalism.), which has given me a very atypical professional profile. With experience in various fields, such as programming, international solidarity and natural sciences, I am able to find innovative solutions by adopting an atypical view of the different challenges to be faced.
