ABOUT JULIE TRINH
Julie Trinh, AIA, NOMA, NCARB, is a licensed architect with an incessant enthusiasm for fostering the growth and development of young professionals. She is an advocate for promoting a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive setting for both the built environment and the workplace. As a project manager, Julie must sustain fluency in a variety of languages: that of the designer, the engineer, the builder, and the client. Her portfolio highlights projects in commercial, retail, hospitality, and sports entertainment. Major works include 609 Main in Houston, TX, the NBA Golden State Warriors’ Chase Center Arena in San Francisco, CA, and mixed-use additions to the NHL Anaheim Ducks’ Honda Center near Los Angeles, CA.Most recently, Julie was awarded the 2022 Sho-Ping Chin Women’s Leadership Grant and completed a volunteer role on the NCARB committee for development of the Architect Registration Examination (ARE). She currently serves as a moderator for the Women Architects’ Collective forum, and is an active member of the National Organization for Minority Architects and Houston Chapter of the AIA, recently serving as a Chair to the Women in Architecture Equity Series and Women of Color Steering Committees.Outside of architecture, Julie is an alumni of The University of Texas at Austin, a Terry Foundation Scholar, and Gates Millennium Scholar. She is often sighted reading non-fiction, rubbing her rescue corgi’s belly, or folding an endless pile of laundry.
