About Julie Hansen

I spent 10 years in printing & advertising before I began my radio career in 1991 in Ames, IA. Briefly left to do advertising as the in-house agency for the Cub Foods grocery store in Sioux City, IA before returning to radio in 1995 where I stayed until August 2009. I began in sales and progressed to operations before managing the AM/FM stations in Wayne, NE for 3 years. When the opportunity to return to a larger market (Omaha) presented itself in 2002, I took it. NRG Media has morphed (from Waitt to NRG) but was a great company to grow with. Economy being what it was, my position was eliminated. I then took a newly created marketing position at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the Milo Bail Student Center. From there I went to help launch the Omaha Vipers, a professional indoor soccer team which was a great experience but with ownership changes, a move was necessitated so I went to work for Cutchall Management Company as director of marketing/sales. Current properties include: Oklahoma Joe\'s, Paradise Bakery, Sonic, Jams, Cater Omaha, Mouth of the South. In 2023, after 12 years with CMC, I joined Walnut Media as Vice President of Marketing. Our properties include: Boomer Radio Network, KCRO, Bluffs Country 106.9, Mix 105.5, Big Dog 98.9, Performance Digital, Performance Podcast and Boombox Entertainment. Specialties: Promotions and marketing, graphics, web promotions, social media, sales.
