Hello, ye of Linkedin!I\'m Julie, founder of 39steps brand agency - designer, illustrator, Mum to 2 boys and lover of Scandi Noir, decent books, red wine and shoes. Not necessarily in that order-As a business owner myself, I understand the pressure you\'re under:The constant need to evolve, galvanise your team, retain clients and win new ones. I love helping you fellow business owners and senior leadership teams reach your \'AHA!\' moment with your brand, design + marketing.Maybe things have got a tired.Stale.Maybe there\'s been change at the top.Maybe a transformation is needed, and that feels a wee bit scary.It ain\'t easy. But, with the right people, it can be thoroughly energising and enjoyable in the process. And maybe, that could be with me and my wonderful talented team at 39steps.I set up 39steps in 2003, aged a niaive 23, and have learned a SHED load since, such as: brand, design + marketing Dos and Don\'ts the power or people + what makes us tick How-to, and, crucially, how-NOT-to, run a business I\'m also a founding Trustee of the wonderful, entirely volunteer-led charity Kids Love Clothes (always on the look-out for help!). I believe EVERYONE should volunteer at something. Anything. If we all just gave a bit of our time away for free to help someone else, the world would be a healthier, happier place. Published my first children\'s book as a real-life illustrator, with Ian H Brown:\'McShoogle an\' the Woogles in Save the Haggis!\'. You can order it from all reputable book shops and ye olde Amaz*on.It can\'t be all work and no play! As that a dull JD makes.So, for fun, I love to: doodle (#juliedoodles) sing in a \'90s covers band (\'The Standard Grades\') try to make things grow in our garden (mixed success) play netball.
