I am currently looking for a part-time legal processor/legal assistant/legal secretary remote only position that allows me to apply my excellent legal skills and expertise with over 35+ years of experience. At my last position, I was a part-time remote legal word processor/legal assistant for Hoopes Morganthaler Rausch & Scaramozza LLC in Hartford, Connecticut, a law firm that specializes in various practice areas. I worked on special projects, heavy word processing, formatting, proofreading and transcription with the lead partner. I enjoyed working with this law firm, but they decided they needed somebody full time in the office, which did not work for me. I continued to do some remote part-time work for the lead partner until just recently. My core competencies included drafting, formatting (pro), and proofreading a variety of legal documents in legal fields such as real estate, estate and elder law, probate, personal injury, business law, and corporate law. Other experience includes, but is not limited to, navigating the judicial website, legal internet research, setting up meetings, electronic filing, time reporting and file management. I am an expert with Word and Excel and have an MS Word badge from LinkedIn Skill Testing.
