ABOUT JULIE BUCKLEY
I am a fourth-year student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute working on my Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Being at RPI has allowed me to be a well-rounded student and has given me exposure to different topics from my classes such as finance, operations, and sales. Beyond the classroom, I am actively involved on campus in multiple leadership roles. While serving as chair of the Union Programming and Activities Committee (UPAC), I thrive on collaborating with students, clubs, and external vendors to execute on-campus events. My responsibility as UPAC chair includes overseeing five subcommittees of UPAC. I also immensely enjoy being an active member in each subcommittee since I have a hands-on approach to event planning. In addition to my responsibilities in UPAC, I work as a Peer Career Advisor where I assist fellow students through guidance in crafting resumes, cover letters, and navigating the job or internship search process. This role at RPI’s Career Center for Professional Development allows me to share insights and support students as they take the next step in their professional careers - something that I can relate to drawing from my own experience. My commitment extends further to being a Residential Assistant. I enforce campus policies, conduct health and safety inspections, provide informational updates, and maintain a positive atmosphere for my residents. I am grateful for the opportunities at RPI where I thrive on collaboration, love connecting with like-minded individuals, and actively continue to pursue to learn and expand my horizons. Whether as a leader, advisor, or team member, I am dedicated to making meaningful contributions and fostering a supportive community.
