CEO/Founder of the Supervision Around the World (SAW) Project. The SAW Project is working to improve outcomes and bring positive change to the criminal justice industry through international collaboration. We are a non-profit agency that identifies countries offering client services to support alternatives to incarceration. Services may include pre-trial options, client reentry programs, and/or community-based supervision. We document current practices, build relationships with key administrators, and are creating an interactive internet repository for gleaned program information. Through this process, we intend to create opportunities for more people to successfully stay in the community while being held accountable for misdeeds, so that they may keep their jobs, pay their taxes, and maintain stability with their families. Outcomes for clients can be improved while costs are reduced (when compared to incarceration) and public safety is maintained. Collaboration is key, because when diverse ideas, cultures, and experiences come together, innovation follows!
