   Directs all external, crisis and strategic communications for the largest safety net provider in Oregon: Multnomah County and its employees. Working closely with the Multnomah County Chair, Board of Commissioners and department directors, oversees all media relations and emergency communications. The County provides services for seniors and disabled people, animal services, assessment and taxation, bridges, community justice, courts, elections, health, jails, libraries, marriage licenses and passports, school and community partnerships. Named interim director in fall 2016 with appointment in January 2017. Has led though a 270 percent increase in media inquiries since COVID-19, successfully moving all press conferences, interviews and outreach online while meeting an unprecedented demand for access and accountability. With a dedication toward equity, directed emergency communications through three historic heat events in 2021 and wildfire smoke and racial justice protests in 2020. In 2017, she served as the Joint Information Center manager and lead public information officer for the nation\'s number one wildfire, the Eagle Creek Fire.
