There’s an exciting energy surging through the Cedar Rapids community! Over $1.5 billion in downtown restoration has resulted in the renovation of historic cultural venues, opening of unique restaurants, creation of modern spaces and growth of urban neighborhoods. It’s an honor to showcase our active and vibrant city while interacting with meeting and event planners. As part of my hosted familiarization tour you may find yourself listening to live jazz in a historic theatre, attending a hockey game, throwing clay on a pottery wheel, attending a mixology demonstration, hiking with llamas, tasting wine in a vineyard (yes, this happens in Iowa!), enjoying cuisine prepared by a Next Food Network Star contestant, practicing yoga at our nature center or experiencing original artwork by Grant Wood. With fantastic local hotels and a new convention center, we have everything you need for a board meeting for 10, banquet for 1500 or arena event for 9600! It\'s also exciting to create new Tourism Ambassadors within our community.
