I am currently on secondment for seven months as Head of Policy at the Education Endowment Foundation. In this role I- lead EEF’s policy development work supporting national policy actors to adopt evidence-informed approaches to improve outcomes for disadvantaged students-lead EEF’s work to ensure that national professional development reforms for teachers and leaders are grounded in high-quality evidence- lead EEF’s strategic relationship with the Department for Education- ensure that EEF’s research and mobilisation activity reflects policy priorities- play an active role in contributing to the culture and strategy of the organisation

I am a highly experienced leader in education-focused organisations across both the public and private sectors, and a nationally recognised expert in education strategy and policy. I have spent nearly three decades working with, supporting and representing school and college leaders and teachers in a variety of different roles. I work closely with policymakers, leaders of national education organisations, and school and college leaders across the UK. I speak and write regularly in the media, at conferences and on panels on a wide range of issues, and sit on high-profile advisory boards and working groups. I also hold a number of trustee roles.
