Prior to the sale of risk and transitioning into a risk services organization in 2019 (Ortho Risk Partners, LLC), I served as the Vice President of Risk Management and Operations for Ortho Forum Insurance Company, RRG.]Reporting to the Board of Managers created and implemented the strategic financial, marketing and risk management philosophy and plan for the LLC. Responsible for assessing and analyzing the risks of member practices and driving the reduction in loss to meet their strategic risk and financial goals. Working directly with and overseeing service providers for marketing and member insurance policy administration, underwriting and claims to ensure member satisfaction and growth. Serving as the risk consultant for member practice leaders and their insured for matters of both operational, regulatory and clinical nature. Development of guidance via quarterly trend reports and updates along with resources, education and tools for member practices. Promoting the LLC through presentations at annual meetings, trade shows, web and email.Through marketing and promotion of the LLC and risk management services, the number of insured providers has increased by 45% since inception. The member retention rate has been 100% since 2022 (eight member practices) with 63% of members vested since 2012. Along with marketing, oversight and financial stewardship year-end distributions to members have increased by 68%.
