About Julie Hile

Julie Hile is President and Founder of Hile Group, a performance consulting firm specializing in collaborative culture change. She has contributed to dramatic reductions in catastrophic injury for more than 25 years by ensuring safety’s place at the center of operations in high-risk environments such as freight and passenger rail, dredging, oil and gas, maritime and general construction. Ms. Hile served on the Federal Railway Administration’s Confidential Close Calls Reporting study implementation lead team and contributed to white papers on the topic published by the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. She has lent her expertise to Transportation Research Board projects in transit safety culture and evidentiary protection. Julie currently serves as the Safety Liaison on the APTA Transit Board Member Committee, a Trustee for McLean County Connect Transit, and Board member for the Western Dredging Association. She also recently became Chair of the Safety Working Group for the World Organization of Dredging Associations.
