Hello fellow LinkedIn Professionals!Let me introduce myself. I started in the insurance industry 17 years ago with the past 13 years as a unit manager in a several different departments. I have spent time in personal lines working with auto policies as well as in the commercial lines with both auto and liability policies. I moved over to claims and did 2 years in AB and 8 months in Property claims. I moved over as a team leader to a specialized group of adjusters who handle only Uber claims and am currently the team lead for our customer care associates for Uber. I hold my CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation as well as have completed the first two courses towards the commercial insurance certificate. I also studied courses through University of Toronto towards my FCIP and have taken a multitude of supervisory courses over the years. Insurance, yes who else fell into this fantastic career path? Did most people in insurance come out of school saying that this is what they would like to do? I\'m going to guess that most of you like myself did not see this path but now that I\'m in it, you realize the multitude of career options that are available to you.Previously I held differing roles with the focus on customer service which I have been able to leverage in my insurance career. What do I have to offer you?I am highly motivated professional looking to expand on my knowledge at all times. I am a fast learner and always ready to expand on career and my education outside of work to ensure that I am keeping up with industry standards. I have lead a team of up to 24 people, offering daily support, mentorship, helping with career development, hiring of new staff and dealing with a multitude of human resource issues.
