About Julian Smith

I am a software developer with a background in art and design and a knack for organization, a strong understanding of informational hierarchy, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for writing clean, reader-focused code.Growing up I spent a great deal of time tinkering with HTML and CSS, both writing my own as well as tweaking and nudging others\' work to my liking. It paired well with my love of art, and each always fueled the other. In my previous role as lead designer, copy editor, and education administrator, I frequently found myself drawn to the more technical aspects of the job and often worked closely with our web developer to ensure all of my designs were feasible to implement. This ultimately led to my diving head-first into the world of software development and discovering a passion that runs so much deeper than I could have ever imagined.On a personal level when I\'m not busy coding and expanding my related knowledge base, I enjoy reading, gaming, running, writing, learning German, and have been known to take illustration commissions now and again to bring others\' D&D and video game characters to life.
