Director of Social Enterprise @Rebuilding Exchange

In my original role as Store Director and then in the time I served as the organizations Interim Executive Director I helped to bring together two organizations, Rebuilding Exchange and the Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse. As Director of Social Enterprise for the merged organization I am responsible for the revenue generation of our retail stores and deconstruction businesses. Our stores sell reclaimed building materials and divert 2 million pounds of construction and renovation debris from landfills every year. Our deconstruction program focuses on the careful removal of building materials so they can be reused. Both our retail stores and our deconstruction program also provide valuable work base learning experiences for the individuals we serve through our work force training program. Through this program we serve individuals who have experienced barriers to employment and prepare them for a career in the trades
