About Julianne Repman

Julianne Repman serves as Director of Communications, Safety and COVID-19 Response and Recovery for Bend-La Pine Schools, Oregon’s fifth largest school district. Repman is a fun-loving, award winning content curator; national speaker on strategic communications; former past president of the Oregon School Public Relations Association. She has has led multiple successful bond requests resulting in nearly a half-a-billion-dollars in investments in local schools. She served as JIC Manager for the multi-agency Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties COVID-19 Response and Central Oregon 2017 Eclipse. Additionally, Repman was called upon after the attack at UCC and officer involved shooting at the High Desert Museum to develop communication recovery systems. Repman leads with an equity and inclusion focus. She is an innovative thinker with a knack for finding solutions for issues that increase communications, engagement and safety. She is a master of crafting sticky messages for internal, external, policy makers, and C-suite audiences that make it easy to develop empathy, awareness and support for mission and goals. These efforts increase productivity, support and passion for district programs and initiatives while increasing student, staff, family, and staff affinity. She holds both Bachelor and Masters degrees, multiple FEMA certifications, and has more than 20 years of experience as a PIO. Repman is highly decorated, including: Winner of NSPRA’s Forerunner Award (2023), NSPRA’s Northwest Barry Gaskins Mentor Legacy Award nominee (2022), winner of NSPRA’s Golden Achievement Award recognizing exemplary work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing and engagement (2017). Winner of the National Association of Government Communicators top award for Bend-La Pine Schools\' Excellence & Equity Review (2020). Woman of the Year and Community Hero finalist, Bend Chamber of Commerce (2018). Repman helped develop the region’s Central Oregon Emergency Information Network as well as the region’s Joint Information Center Playbook. Repman sits on several multi-disciplinary agency teams including Adult Threat, Student Threat, Suicide Prevention and Commercially Sexually Exploited Children Response Team, to name a few. Repman oversees the district’s School Resource Officer/Deputy program, is a member of the Oregon School Resources Officers Association, National Association of School Resources Officers Association, and Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.
